YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN FABRIC, FILLING, AND SEWING PATTERN.
The Sewing Center is a full service sewing studio with your choice of three different sewing machines and hand stitch needles. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN FABRIC, FILLING, AND SEWING PATTERN to use the machines or hand stitch needles. The library will have thread, sewing adhesives, and a small amount of sewing tape available for patron use, but will not provide fabric outside of library sponsored programs. There is a brand new Singer sewing machine with preset stitches including serger stitches, an older Kenmore sewing machine also with preset stitches, and an antique Brother machine with no preset stitches that works well sewing against heavy fabrics. Included in the sewing center are a Singer Hand Iron, Cricut Heat Press, tailor's ham and seam roller, three adjustable sewing forms ranging from adult sizes small to plus size, and plenty of drafting and cutting accessories. Ergonomic seam rippers, and assistive devices for threading machine needles and hand needles are available at each sewing station.
